The Legend of the Stumpies

Stumpies are ancient folk. Ages ago, stumpies roamed all of the deep forests of the world. Today however, because of their unique anatomical and psychological characteristics, stumpies are only found in gardens, patios and similar habitats. Stumpies generally have no arms. If they do have arms, they are, well, stumpy. Similarly, stumpies have no legs, unless they have stumps for legs. They generally do have feet, always with three toes.

Stumpies have evolved a specialized courtship ritual. When stumpies fall in love, they spend many hours in a quiet part of the garden, hugging. Because they have no arms, they hug by intertwining their inner toes. They call this display of affection, "Getting ToeGether". As the relationship progresses, stumpies tickle one another, he with his luxurious beard, and she with her long lovely hair. To describe things further would be in poor taste!

Stumpies exhibit all of the behaviors and attitudes of human kind, and are devoted friends for people who love to garden. Like all other Forrest Dwellers, stumpies bring good luck to your garden.
