Change Artist Sculpts In North Carolina Garden

North Carolina's Forrest Greenslade is a change artist. He has reinvented himself several times. Educated as a molecular biologist, Dr. Greenslade conducted basic and clinical research at the Atomic Energy Commission and in the pharmaceutical industry. He then transformed himself into a manager and executive, holding leadership positions at Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer and The Population Council. Most recently, he served as President of Ipas, an international women’s health organization.

Greenslade then evolved into a writer. He captured his experiences in his book, The Simple-Minded Manager: Cutting Through Your work-Life Chaos. Greenslade honed his speaking skills through Toastmasters International. He has earned TI’s highest educational certification, Distinguished Toastmaster. In 2001, Dr. Greenslade was named North Carolina’s Toastmaster of the year. His latest book is Haicooo: Little Poems for Children.

Recently, Forrest Greenslade underwent yet another metamorphosis. He became a sculptor. Forrest creates whimsical creatures he calls Forrest Dwellers. He insists that they bring good luck to the garden. Greenslade serves on the Board of Directore of the Chatham Artist's Guild and is a member of the Chatham County Arts Council.
